Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey said recently that “all options” are still on the table for the team with regard to the No. 1 pick, including a trade. However, it doesn’t seem as though the team has gotten an offer worth taking seriously.

According to Steve Wyche of NFL Network (per Ian Rapoport), Dorsey says the team has not received a legitimate trade offer as of yet for that top pick.

There’s still time for some team to put together a real offer before the draft begins on Thursday. However, the chances of a blockbuster deal going down so close to the draft appear unlikely.

With that in mind, the Browns are still deliberating which player they will actually pick at No. 1. A recent report suggests that they’ve narrowed down their top two options to Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield, with longtime favorite Sam Darnold knocked out of the running.

If the Browns are indeed choosing between Allen and Mayfield, the New York Jets might be the most logical team that could still offer to trade up to No. 1 and take Mayfield, with whom they’ve been strongly linked. But considering they already gave up a lot of assets to trade up from No. 6, it’s highly unlikely that they sacrifice even more assets at this point.

In the absence of a blockbuster trade, the Browns will remain on the clock at No. 1, presumably to pick their next franchise quarterback. But exactly who that player is is anyone’s guess at this point.
