The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will navigate the offseason with that guy Tom Brady no longer around. Luckily, coach Bruce Arians is still present, and the genius tactician is more than competent to steer the team to new heights.

Of course, the obvious question for the Buccaneers is: Who will replace Brady? Many names have been thrown around since the GOAT decided to hang it up for good. But for Arians, one journeyman signal-caller seems fit for the role.

Arians don't need to look far as well, as he recently heaped praises on Brady's backup Blaine Gabbert, per New York Post's report.

“People may not like the overall record, but Blaine had eight head coaches and eight coordinators his first eight years. He beat Jacksonville their best year and beat Tennessee their big year for us in Arizona. And he’s been in the system now.”

The 32-year-old Gabbert was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars as the 10th overall pick in 2011. But his career has yet to pan out. He spent truncated stints with three other teams before signing with the Buccaneers in 2019. Despite his 13-35 record, Arians expressed optimism that Gabbert can step up, along with second-year QB Kyle Trask.

“I don’t have a problem there and let Kyle continue to grow. Either one. (Gabbert) has never played with a team this good. He’s got all the respect in the locker room that he can have.”

Whoever becomes QB1 for the Buccaneers certainly has humungous shoes to fill, but for sure, Brady instilled on Gabbert and Trask the value of being a leader.
