The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have to make a decision on Jameis Winston in the coming weeks, and Bruce Arians didn't hold back on his evaluation of the quarterback. Following Tampa Bay's disappointing loss on Sunday, Arians made a savage comment about Winston via Rick Stroud.

Considering that Winston is an impending free agent, Arians' comments aren't helping Winston's chances of remaining in Tampa Bay. But Arians' comments aren't the only reason why Winston could have played his final game with the Buccaneers.

With the season coming to an end, the fifth-year quarterback finished with 5,109 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions. His 30th interception came in the form of a pick-six by Deion Jones of the Atlanta Falcons. The errant throw handed the Buccaneers their ninth loss of the season.

While there were a few positives, Winston outweighed them with negatives that cost Tampa Bay a few wins. The Florida State product became the first quarterback in NFL history to record 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in the same season.

As the head coach, Arians will have a say on whether or not Winston will be the starter in 2020. At this point, it's a foregone conclusion that the Buccaneers aren't comfortable handing a long-term deal to Winston.

Over the past week, reports surfaced that the front office could use the franchise or transition tag on Winston. Following the team's loss to the Houston Texans, Arians denied the rumors that a decision has already been made.

If the Buccaneers allow Winston to walk in free agency, it remains to be seen who they would deploy at quarterback next year. Regardless of who it is, Arians appears to be confident that they could perform just as good or even better than Winston.
