After the New England Patriots disappointed him on Saturday, former NFL wide receiver Julian Edelman seems to be converting to the Tom Brady and Tampa Buccaneers fandom.

Edelman made a $100,000 bet on the Patriots and Buccaneers making it to the Super Bowl. He placed $50,000 on New England, and the other half on Tampa Bay–a pair of gamble that would have netted him $545,000. Unfortunately, his first bet failed after Bill Belichick and co. received a 47-17 beating against the Buffalo Bills in their Wild Card showdown.

Lucky for the ex-Patriots receiver, his former teammates in Brady and Rob Gronkowski stepped up in their own Wild Card versus the Philadelphia Eagles and got away with an easy 31-15 win. It means his other $50,000 bet is still safe and has the chance to earn him $170,000.

Naturally, he turned into a Buccaneers fan. Sorry, Patriots.

The Buccaneers still have a long way to go before they reach the Super Bowl, but if there is one thing Julian Edelman and the rest of the NFL learned on Sunday, it's to never bet against Tom Brady.

For what it's worth, though, Brady warned his team after their latest win that things will only get tougher for them. With that said, Edelman better be ready to cheer and rally for the Buccaneers if he want to keep his $50,000 alive and recoup what he has lost because of the Patriots.
