The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the New Orleans Saints at home Sunday night, 9-0. As if losing the game was not enough, the Bucs also lost star players due to injury, including running back Leonard Fournette.

Early in the 3rd quarter, Fournette was hit hard and spun like a helicopter. When he landed, he almost did a split and injured his hamstring. Fournette left the game and had to be helped to the locker room. It has been reported that the Buccaneerss are likely to place Fournette on short term injured reserve. However, he might be able to return for the playoffs.

Ronald Jones II steps in as the starting running back, but the team lacked depth. Gio Bernard is already on IR as well. So, they went out and signed free agent Le'Veon Bell.

Bell played earlier this year with the Baltimore Ravens, who were ravaged with injuries as well. Bell could only muster 83 rushing yards on 31 carries, with two rushing touchdowns. After a month of struggling, the Ravens cut the former Pro Bowl running back.

Before signing with the Buccaneers Tuesday, Bell contemplated retiring from football. He thought of a career change boxing, according to Sports Illustrated.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Le'Veon Bell shared his thoughts on the subject.

“I was gonna start boxing, focusing on boxing but I think this was like a great opportunity. . .it's something you can't really turn down, playing with coach Arians, Tom Brady and obviously AB.”

Bell played with Antonio Brown for years in Pittsburgh. The Buccaneers hope he can regain some of that form as the season winds down.
