Buccaneers news: Ndamukong Suh talks with Tom Brady about future

Ndamukong Suh wants to be back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he recently had a conversation with Tom Brady about his future.

It took 11 years, but Ndamukong Suh finally realized his dream of winning a Super Bowl when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lifted the Lombardi Trophy after beating the Kansas City Chiefs. Amidst speculation about his future with the newly crowned champs, the 34-year-old revealed he has no intention to call it a career just yet.

Suh also explicitly expressed he wants to continue playing alongside Tom Brady with the Buccaneers in the hopes of winning another title. The five-time Pro Bowler believes he still has a lot left in the tank to keep going.

“My goal is to come back and have an opportunity to go win another championship,” Suh told Albert Breer of the MMQB recently. “Me and Tom [Brady] spoke the other day about that opportunity, as well as with Jason Licht. I don't know if you saw our parade celebration on that podium, Coach B.A. [Bruce Arians] said I'm not going anywhere. And he's usually a man of his word. So I look forward to the opportunity to continue to play, especially for Tampa. And I honestly believe I have a lot of elite, great talent left in me to play. I'm not ready to hang them up yet. And my wife has given me the O.K.-that's first and foremost, I got that permission.”

It should probably help his case that both Tom Brady and Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians are aboard in bringing the veteran back as Tampa Bay attempts to go for back-to-back Super Bowls next season. Suh will be a free agent this offseason and may need to make some sacrifices financially if he wants to get the opportunity to run it back in Tampa.

If the discussions between Suh and the Buccaneers go on to be as smooth as their parade, perhaps Tampa fans will see the three-time All-Pro back on their team in 2021.
