NFL legend Peyton Manning was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Sunday. As expected, he has some jokes about his rival and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady during his acceptance speech.
The never-ending butt of jokes about Brady is his age. While he is already 44 years old, it does not look like he is retiring any time soon. In fact, he signed a one-year, $25 million extension with the Buccaneers that will keep him with the team until at least 2022.
With that said, Manning made sure to use that to poke fun at Brady, whom he has a great relationship with outside of being long-time rivals.
“My good friend Tom Brady is here tonight. By the time he is inducted, in his first year of eligibility in the year of 2035, he’ll only have time to post his acceptance speech on his Instagram account,” the Indianapolis Colts icon said of the Buccaneers star, per Field Yates of ESPN.
For what it's worth, watching the video of the acceptance speech is even better. When Peyton Manning mentioned Tom Brady was in attendance, a lot of people booed the seven-time Super Bowl Champ. Brady's reaction was priceless, laughing and asking people what he did to warrant the hilarious reaction.
Poor Brady. But let's give it to Manning since it's his moment.
