Don't count former NFL wide receiver Steve Smith among those who believe that fellow wide out DeSean Jackson will be back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season.

Smith said on NFL Network that he does not believe the Jackson-Jameis Winston connection is going to be around for next year, as Jackson's numbers just don't look that good with Winston.

Jackson reportedly asked for a trade from the Buccaneers back in October, and in December, he sold his house in Tampa, an obvious sign that he no longer wants to be a part of the Bucs organization.

Still, Jackson has a year remaining on the three-year contract he signed with Tampa Bay in March 2017, so the Buccaneers will have to trade him in order for him to go elsewhere.

Jackson said “we'll see” when asked by TMZ if he would return to Tampa Bay in 2019.

The 32-year-old had one of the least productive seasons of his career this past year, finishing with just 41 catches for 774 yards and five touchdowns. He also missed four games because of a thumb injury.

In his first year with the Buccaneers in 2017, Jackson caught 50 passes for 668 yards and three scores.

This is, easily, the most unproductive two-year stretch of Jackson's career.

Jackson, who played his collegiate football at the University of California, was originally selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

He spent the six years of his career with the Eagles, making three Pro Bowls before landing with the Washington Redskins in 2014. He resided in Washington for three seasons before signing with the Bucs.
