The victories for Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady over Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes just keep on coming. Brady and the Buccaneers defeated the Chiefs in the Super Bowl back in February and it was last offseason when Brady sent shockwaves throughout the NFL by leaving the New England Patriots to head to Tampa Bay. Now, after a year filled with plenty of wins and a Super Bowl ring, the popularity in Brady's move to the Buccaneers is being reflected in jersey sales.

It should come as no surprise that Tom Brady's jersey was the most purchased NFL jersey last year. What shouldn't be glossed over, however, is that the Buccaneers quarterback now has the record for most NFL jerseys sold in a single year, beating out Patrick Mahomes in 2018-19.

Brady's move away from New England sparked enough attention as it was to warrant the purchase of his new jersey. Between Brady fans in general and Buccaneers fans with perhaps a sprinkle of Patriots fans, there was no doubting his new jersey would be a popular one. The cherry on top was likely Tampa Bay's Super Bowl win in Brady's first season with the Buccaneers.

As Darren Rovell noted on his Twitter page, the top two cities where Brady jerseys were sold were in Tampa Bay and Boston. That should come as a surprise to nobody. Rounding out the top five cites were New York, Orlando and Los Angeles.

The Buccaneers quarterback has shattered another record and knowing Tom Brady, his lone focus is just repeating as Super Bowl champions again in 2021.
