There were a lot of highlights from Sunday's “The Match” featuring golf greats Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, who were teamed up with Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and former NFL superstar Peyton Manning, respectively.
There were a lot of great back-and-forths between the two pairs, plus a handful of good, old trash-talking. Brady's wardrobe malfunction also somehow made the cut.
Clearly, the six-time Super Bowl champ owned the 7th hole, holing out on his fourth shot from the fairway for a birdie. Unfortunately, it seems that Brady put too much on the shot and actually ripped his pants. The new Buccaneers star took to Twitter to poke fun at himself after the match.
Pants wanted in on social distancing I guess… https://t.co/PJBPyFWowI

Given that the whole nation is slowly easing out of lockdown measures, golf was obviously one of the first few sports to be allowed. Still, there were a lot of precautionary measures taken to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved in the event. There were no crowds in attendance and social distancing rules were in effect, which was demonstrated quite well by Brady's pants.
After 18 holes, pouring rain and a wardrobe malfunction, Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson went on to lose the match against Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning by a single stroke. The event — held in the Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida — was all for a good cause and raised $20 million for COVID-19 relief efforts and first responders.
