Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers certainly had a lot of fun celebrating their Super Bowl 55 win a week ago during their boat parade through the Hillsborough River. In fact, they had too much fun.

During the celebration, Brady hurled the Vince Lombardi Trophy from his boat across to another and into the arms of Cameron Brate. The Buccaneers tight end made the catch, preventing any kind of disaster that would have sent the precious trophy into the river.

The video went viral all over social media. While everybody enjoyed seeing Brady make arguably the toughest throw of his life, one person wasn't too pleased. That person is Lorraine Grohs, who is the daughter of the man who designed the Vince Lombardi trophy.

In an interview with Leslie DelasBour of Fox, Grohs expressed her disgust over Brady's antics:

“It just upset me that this trophy was disgraced and disrespected by being thrown as if it was a real football,” Grohs said of the celebration of Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. “I have a big history of this trophy being made by my father, and it's such an honor, and I know all the craftsmen that made it when my dad was there also at Tiffany's. And it takes a lot of hard work.”

For context, as Lorraine revealed, her father Greg Grohs was the master silversmith at Tiffany and Company from 1967 to 1994. They were the team that created the first ever Vince Lombardi trophy.

In case you missed it, this is Brady's throw to his Buccaneers teammates that triggered Grohs' rage:

She revealed how the video caused her some sleepless nights. She even demanded an apology from the NFL GOAT himself.

Quite frankly, though, Brady earned the right to do whatever he wants with the trophy. It's his, and he's got seven of them to show off.

Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht had the perfect response:

Lighten up, indeed.
