Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has already become an early candidate for this year's MVP amidst the team's lackluster start to the 2017-18 NBA season. Antetokounmpo's physical tools, combined with his dynamic skill set has made him the most promising young star in the league.

Now, the “Greek Freak” has started his journey to NBA history by joining Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson as the only two players to shoot at least 50 percent from the field and record 1,000 assists.

Aside from accomplishing this impressive feat, there a plenty of similarities between these two basketball anomalies. Both technically played the point forward position and largely relied on scoring within the 3-point line. Although Magic Johnson was by far the better passer, it is safe to say that Giannis Antetokounmpo's skill set allows him to make a larger impact on both ends of the floor.

Despite his recent meteoric rise as one of the NBA's elite, this is already the Bucks star's fifth year in the league. For the most part, fans have been dazzled by the incredible plays the Antetokounmpo makes on a nightly basis. However, little has been said about his ability to create plays for his teammates as well.

Given the Bucks' middling supporting cast, he has had to take on an even larger role this season. That said, Giannis Antetokounmpo has proven to be more than up to the task, as evidenced by his achievement.
