Milwaukee Bucks superstar and two-time reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo spoke highly of LeBron James and Kobe Bryant in a recent interview with Cosmote TV.

The “Greek Freak” explained Bryant taught him that winning and greatness is hard work and has a cost. Giannis also hailed LeBron as the best basketball player in the world, despite the fact Antetokounmpo has won consecutive MVP trophies with the Bucks:

“Kobe told me to sacrifice if i want to win and be great,” Antetokounmpo said, via Harris Stavrou. LeBron is the best in the world, MVP is another story, I can tell that he is the best and my idol, he is 17 years in the League.”

Antetokounmpo has always placed a premium on winning.

Giannis was grateful to receive the MVP Award this season, but there was a little more disappointment because Milwaukee could not get out of the conference semifinals.

James, meanwhile, reminded basketball fans he is still as good as any player in the NBA en route to also winning a championship and capturing Finals MVP honors.

Antetokounmpo is still aspiring to those accomplishments, and he is hungry to improve as a basketball player.

Much of the speculation surrounding Giannis has related to his upcoming decision on the team's supermax. If Antetokounmpo declines the extension, he will have an endless number of suitors in free agency next season.

But the Athens, Greece native is also quite aware of the fact there is still a season to be played, and he desperately wants to add the Larry O'Brien Trophy to his mantle.
