Tuesday night's matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Minnesota Timberwolves featured an individual bout between two of the best players in the NBA today in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Karl-Anthony Towns. It didn't take long before these two went head-to-head, which in one instance in the second quarter resulted in a technical foul for the reigning MVP.

Giannis mean mugged Towns after he bullied the Wolves big man for a (semi) poster jam. The game official deemed Antetokounmpo's act as excessive, and he decided to hand the Bucks superstar with a rather controversial technical foul (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Giannis stared Towns down after the play, who for his part, did his best to avoid Antetokounmpo's disrespectful stare. Technically, though, Giannis' mean mug stare down lasted just a couple of seconds (we counted). Nonetheless, the refs thought it wasn't ungentlemanly of the Bucks star and he was rewarded with a tech (and a fine) for his antics.

Antetokounmpo himself tried to explain himself to the official after the whistle, which unsurprisingly resulted in absolutely nothing. Giannis did get his thoughts in, though, as the ref heard him out. Nonetheless, the technical foul stands. And so does the fact that Towns just got his butt handed to him on this particular play.
