The Milwaukee Bucks were able to take a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Boston Celtics. Unfortunately, it appears they will have to wait a bit longer for point guard Malcolm Brogdon to make his return.

Brogdon has been nursing a foot injury since mid-March. According to ESPN's Malika Andrews, he has been ruled out for Game 5:

Malcolm Brogdon is listed as out on the NBA Injury Report for Game 5 between the Bucks and Celtics.

Although Brogdon has been ruled out, the Bucks still have time to put him back on the active roster before tip-off. However, it appears they may be taking a cautious approach with his injury. As a result, it remains to be seen whether or not Milwaukee will be looking to bring him back this series.

Fortunately, the Bucks have done their part to ensure that Brogdon has time to return. They managed to swing the momentum of the series back in their favor with a win in Boston and will now be looking to finish things off in Milwaukee. Despite their recent success, they will still need all the help they can get if they hope to keep it going.

Brogdon had played a vital role during the 2018-19 NBA season after averaging 15.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game before the injury. His return would bring a much-needed spark to Milwaukee's backcourt. Of course, the 26-year-old is going to need some time to get back into game shape. It will be interesting to see if Brogdon's status changes any time soon.
