The Milwaukee Bucks have officially signed Marvin Williams, the team announced on their website.

Williams got bought out by the Charlotte Hornets and quickly signed with the Bucks, who have the best record in the NBA just like last season. The NBA vet will wear No. 20 for the Bucks.

The 33-year-old forward was the second overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He has been with the Hornets since 2014.

In 41 games this season for the Hornets, Williams averaged 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists. He shot 44.8 percent from the field, 37.6 percent from beyond the arc and 86.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Williams has career averages of 10.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 1,055 games with the Hawks and Hornets. He shoots 36.2 percent from the 3-point line for his career.

While he didn't find much success in his time in Charlotte, Williams figures to be a big addition to the Bucks. His shooting skills are expected to mesh well with Milwaukee superstar and reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

It is worth noting that Kemba Walker wanted Marvin Williams to sign with the Boston Celtics, saying he was “upset” they didn't get the chance to get his good friend. However, despite joining an East rival, Kemba said he is also happy for his ex-Hornets teammate.
