The Milwaukee Bucks sent quite a message to the entire NBA last night, besting the Western Conference's top team Los Angeles Lakers, 111-104, to take solo lead of the league's best record.

There were plenty of storylines to go around in the aftermath of the first meeting of the two of the league's best teams this season, but it was an earlier statement made by famed agent Rich Paul that got Twitter buzzing shortly after the game.

Paul, who represents the Lakers' dynamic duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, claimed back in October that the Bucks could have reached the Finals last year if they had The Brow as a franchise player instead of Giannis Antetokounmpo.

“He's just as talented as anyone who's ever played this game. Six-11, makes 3s, blocks shots. I think he's one of the better passing big men in our game. In my opinion, this is what makes him different from Giannis,” Paul told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Pauls' words may or may have not lit a fire under Antetokounmpo, but the reigning MVP was certainly locked in on Thursday night as he produced 34 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in 32 minutes. The Greek Freak even silenced doubters about his supposed lack of outside shot, draining a career-best 5-of-8 from downtown.

He was even caught on camera claiming “I'm the King now” after draining one in the fourth quarter.

Davis, on the other hand, still came up with a stellar outing of 36 points, 10 boards and five assists, but it's now hard to give Paul's words merit especially after his client's team lost. The internet never forgets, Rich.
