Zach LaVine is making his All-Star debut for the Chicago Bulls on Sunday as he's put together a special season thus far. Ahead of his debut in the All-Star Game, LaVine's mom penned a heartfelt letter to congratulate her son on his big achievement.

His mom would highlight the journey he's taken to the NBA as he's preparing to be part of the All-Star Game for the first time in his career. The emotional video would show LaVine's moments as a youth and would proceed to show what type of person he's become since entering the NBA.

In his seventh season in the NBA, LaVine is currently compiling 28.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game, which are are career-best marks for the UCLA product. The 25-year-old guard is also shooting an impressive 52.5 percent from the field and 43.5 percent from three-point range.

Even though the Bulls don't have a winning record, LaVine has been a bright spot for Chicago despite their record. His growth as a player on the court has been impressive to watch as he's gone from a player known for his dunks in the dunk contest to a versatile scorer.

During the All-Star draft between LeBron James and Kevin Durant, both of them were complimentary of LaVine, expressing their support in his scoring ability. LaVine will be playing for Team Durant after being one of Durant's first picks of the reserves. As LaVine is poised to experience an All-Star Game for the first time, his mom wanted to take some time to praise her son for his growth on and off of the court.
