So far this season, it has been a group of the same rookies getting the majority of the attention. Anthony Edwards has had multiple viral dunks, while LaMelo Ball has displayed the flashy passing and playmaking. It's no surprise these two were both taken in the top three of the NBA Draft in 2020. Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns was singing praise to a different rookie on Wednesday night: Chicago Bulls youngster Patrick Williams.

Savvy move by Booker to wait until after they play the Bulls twice to lend some advice to the rookie. Booker went off in the Suns' 121-116 win over the Bulls, scoring 45 points on 17-of-24 shooting from the field. Williams drew the Booker assignment and had a tough time slowing him down, but that's a tough cover for a rookie who's better at guarding bigger players as opposed to guards.

Williams hasn't garnered nearly as much national attention as a few of the other rookies, but he certainly made headlines with this ridiculous block of Deandre Ayton on Wednesday:

Williams also did his thing offensively, pouring in 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

So far this season, the No. 4 overall pick from 2020 is averaging 9.8 points per game while shooting 38.0% from 3-point range. Williams has hauled in 4.9 rebounds per contest as well.

For Chicago, they hope they've struck gold with the rookie out of Florida State, something that will need plenty of more time to see the final results. Having a third piece of the puzzle to go alongside Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic is massive for the Bulls going forward. They have a chance right now to find out if anyone on the roster, including Williams, fits the bill.

Currently, Chicago sits in the No. 10 spot at 19-27 overall, three games behind the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Conference.
