Some people in the Chicago Bulls organization have spoken out anonymously about Zach LaVine, saying that he's never won, which may be related to his deflating trade value as of late. Former NBA player and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins had a few words to say about that anonymous source, and if they're holding themselves accountable.

“Who is this source,” Perkins said on NBA Today. “That's the question I have to ask because they're out of line. Did they look at themselves in the mirror? Are they holding the Bulls organization accountable? Passing the blame all on Zach LaVine – what has the Bulls front office done lately?”

Perkins went down the list of the things that the Bulls have failed to do this offseason, taking the blame away from LaVine and putting all the pressure on the front office.

“Did they win in free agency? No,” Perkins said. “Did they win with draft picks? No. Billy Donovan got a contract extension, what has he really done?”

To Perkins' point, the Bulls have not done much over the past few seasons, as they missed the playoffs the last two years and were bounced out of the first round of the 2022 playoffs by the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bulls have put Zach LaVine on the trade market, but they've been unsuccessful in finding a team to deal him to. An anonymous source called out LaVine recently, according to Jamal Collier of ESPN.

“He's never won, he's done it his way the whole way and never won,” the team source said, via Jamal Collier. “If he's interested in winning, he'll do what's asked of him. And if he's motivated to not be here, one way is to come, be compliant, and be who he is.”

LaVine was barely available for the Bulls last season due to injury, only playing 25 games while averaging 19.5 points and 5.2 rebounds. When healthy, LaVine has shown that he can be a high-scoring guard who can get hot on any night, but he can also be inconsistent as well.

The Bulls decided that they wanted to go younger this offseason, and they started that off by trading Alex Caruso for Josh Giddey. They also re-signed Patrick Williams, and their biggest move was letting DeMar DeRozan sign with the Sacramento Kings.

That leaves LaVine as the odd man out, but maybe due to his recent injury and his playstyle, many teams could think that trading for him could be a risk. Add on the fact that LaVine has $138 million left on his contract, and he might be considered to have a negative value.

The Bulls will most likely have to wait and see if there is a team that desperately needs a scoring upgrade on their team, but they probably won't be giving up much in return to acquire LaVine.
