Chicago Bulls big man Nikola Vucevic has been on the shelf with COVID-19 but he's recently cleared protocols and it appears he will finally return to the lineup on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets. But, the team plans to ease him back into action. Via Joe Cowley:

Vooch hasn't played since November 10th vs. Dallas, spending almost two weeks in quarantine. The Bulls will be happy to get him back in the mix though as he's averaging 13.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 4.3 assists this season.

While Vucevic's scoring numbers are lower at the moment compared to the last few campaigns, it does come down to the offseason additions Chicago brought in. DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine are both averaging over 25 points per game and see a lot of the touches. But, Vucevic is still an important piece in the Bulls' frontcourt.

Billy Donovan's squad is currently firing on all cylinders, sitting third in the Eastern Conference with a 12-6 record. As mentioned, Vooch is going to be on a minutes restriction against the Rockets, but it will be great to see him on the court and helping his team continue to win more ballgames moving forward.

The Bulls will be looking to bounce back from a dreadful 109-77 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Monday night.
