The Chicago Bulls have a lot of faith in their current core led by Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan. They made just a few additions in NBA Free agency by signing Goran Dragic and Andre Drummond. They also re-signed LaVine to a new max contract.

According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Suns-Times, LaVine said that he is pleased with the Bulls adding Dragic and Drummond. He said that staying healthy is the most important thing and that he is excited to go run it back.

“I mean, obviously [last season] was tough because we started off so good, and we could see the ceiling and the goal of the team in the first half of the season,’’ LaVine said. “But injuries happen, and you want to see a full roster and a full team all the way through. I think we had some key additions already, adding guys like Goran and Drummond, so I think it’s gonna be good. As long as guys stay healthy, I think that’s the biggest thing for any team. We get to go back at it again.’’

Dragic will look to provide an offensive spark off the bench while Drummond will be Nikola Vucevic's back-up. Both veterans left the Brooklyn Nets to join the Bulls.

Although the Bulls could have made some more improvements after ending up as the sixth seed last season, they have the potential to be a very good team if they can stay healthy. Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso getting injured for long stretches of the season derailed their early momentum. Ball is still on the mend. Chicago could be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference if injury luck is on their side.
