The Chicago Bulls appear to be thinking of placing guard Coby White on the trading block this offseason, according to Heavy.com. White was the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. During his first three seasons in Chicago, the young guard out of North Carolina has shown flashes but been inconsistent.

Last season, he averaged a career low 12.7 points per game, to go along with three rebounds and three assists per game. He was a decent shooter, knocking down 43 percent of his shots, including just over 38 percent from downtown. However, his playing time was down almost four minutes per game from the season prior.

The Bulls had a disappointing end to their season. They were among the Eastern Conference's elite teams for the first half of the year. But as the season played out, injuries and poor play against the league's best teams saw them fall all the way to the sixth seed. They were eliminated by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs.

The Bulls have some serious offseason decisions to make. Zach LaVine is an unrestricted free agent and the obvious issue at hand. Chicago has expressed their desire to retain LaVine and the core players.

That obviously does not include White. The former Tar Heel has improved his shooting in the NBA each year, but defensively is considered a liability. It's not shocking to see the team looking to potentially move the young guard. Chicago really likes what rookie guard Ayo Dosunmu showed this season, making it easier to move on from White.
