The Chicago Bulls, after some vague preseason buzz about making the playoffs this season, are staring down the barrel of a 20-40 record with some extremely dispiriting performances this season. Adding insult to injury on Monday night was their head coach Jim Boylen calling an inept timeout as their point guard Ryan Arcidiacono waltzed to the rim for an easy two points.

Of course, because Boylen called the timeout a hair too early. Those points were wiped away and all that was left were pained expressions from Boylen and defeated body language from nearly every Bulls player on the court.

Because the Bulls drafted point guard Coby White out of North Carolina, Arcidiacono’s minutes have been reduced considerably from 24.2 per game in 2018-19 to only 15.8 per game this season.

On top of that, his coach removed two points from his scoring coffers. Let’s hope that doesn’t lead to another player mutiny for Boylen’s Bulls.
