Anthony's Jordan Focused Edwards Comments

Carmelo Anthony appeared on his 7PMinBrooklyn podcast with poignant comments on Edwards' development.

“Now he's gonna to start getting to the phase of hopefully getting back to the Western Conference Finals and hopefully getting over the hump,” Anthony said. “That's another…The winning phase kicked in. But when veteran, calm down relaxed Ant, understands his NBA game, when he make that jump, watch out,” he continued. “That's the dangerous Ant. That's the Michael Jordan-esque in this.”

Edwards scored between 19 and 28 points among all five games of the 2024 Western Conference Finals, finishing with a flurry on Thursday, May 30 as he scored 28 points vs. the Mavericks. Coach Chris Finch's superstar guard inspired generations of fans with his playoff performances, averaging 25.9 points at the young age of 22.

Edwards isn't quite on vintage Jordan level yet, but he helped to restore faith and hope in Timberwolves basketball as a franchise capable of winning its first ever league title some time soon.
