Carmelo Anthony’s effort against Australia earned him the game ball
Team USA was put to a test by a feisty Australian team during their last game at the Olympics in Rio.
It was a tough battle for both teams as the Aussies’ grit clashed with the Americans’ talent all the way till the closing minutes. The reigning Gold medalists needed the heroics of none other than Mr. USA Basketball himself, Carmelo Anthony, to pull off a hard-earned victory.
Fittingly, Anthony’s efforts earned him a very special token from the game.
Kyle Lowry grabbed the game ball after last night's win vs. Australia. It was presented to Melo in the locker room.

The New York Knicks superstar waxed hot from the get-go and it lasted till the final quarter where the team needed him most.
His 31 points led the game and also placed him comfortably atop USA Basketball’s all-time Olympic scoring ladder.
