The Carolina Panthers are set to take on the Dallas Cowboys in what should be a thrilling matchup. Both teams are red hot and looking to maintain their winning streak. A win for Carolina keeps them in first place in the NFC South. It's time to continue our NFL predictions series with a Panthers Week 4 prediction.

This is a young team, but the Panthers are playing competitively. Although they lack experience they should not be taken lightly. Carolina's defense has looked great so far, but they have their work cut out for them against the Cowboys.

After trading Dan Arnold to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Panthers' new starting tight end is Tommy Tremble. The rookie could be in for a big game as he'll want to earn his keep on Sunday. Sam Darnold seems to have bounced back but faces a test against Dallas. Lastly, DJ Moore has been one of the best receivers in the league this year. That trend should continue. With that said, here are four bold Panthers Week 4 predictions against the Cowboys.

Panthers Week 4 Predictions

4. Panthers defense bottles up Dak Prescott

This is a tough goal but it's necessary if the Panthers hope to win this game. Dak Prescott is easily one of the most impressive quarterbacks in the NFL. Even so, the Panthers' defense is young, hungry, and motivated to prove themselves as a top unit in the league.

Everyone will need to be on the top of their game if they hope to slow down Prescott. They'll need the pass rush to get in the backfield quickly while the pass coverage defends CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper. Taking away the run game would be a nice start, but the Cowboys thrive when airing it out. This is a tough matchup for the Panthers, so they'll have to play a perfect game to beat Dallas.

3. Tommy Tremble serves as a reliable tight end for the Panthers

Dan Arnold wasn't getting involved with the passing game and the coaching staff is comfortable giving Tommy Tremble the reins. He's a versatile player as he received a carry for a touchdown in Week 3. Carolina needs this type of athleticism to elevate their offense to a higher level. Look for Tremble to play a key role on Sunday, as he might fly under the radar of the Cowboys' defense.

2. Sam Darnold proves he's a franchise quarterback

Sam Darnold has looked comfortable in the pocket playing for the Panthers so far. However, he's facing his toughest test yet on his new team. The Cowboys' defense has been fantastic through three weeks. The combination of Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs seems to be a winning combination.

Even so, Darnold has been spreading the ball around, providing the Panthers with consistent quarterback play. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, but if Darnold impresses, the Panthers likely have their franchise quarterback.

1. DJ Moore erupts for 100+ yards and 2 touchdowns

DJ Moore is easily Darnold's favorite target and nothing should change anytime soon. Moore will be shadowed by Diggs throughout this matchup, but Moore has proven to be a reliable receiver no matter who is defending him.

The Panthers star wide receiver should feast on Sunday and give the Cowboys a run for their money. We should see the coaching staff get creative and find new ways to get DJ Moore the ball. Whether it's a screen pass, rush attempts, or disguising him in certain packages, look for Moore to be all over the field in this matchup.
