Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been fueling split rumors recently. While they were photographed with one another on Friday (May 17) — with their wedding rings on — there is still speculation that something is going array in the marriage. An insider disclosed to Entertainment Tonight that the marriage between the two “hasn't been as great” for some time now.
“They have gone through phases where things haven't been as great between them due to their different personalities and not getting enough time together,” the source says. “They're not always on the same page. They both have so much going on between taking care of their families and their work commitments and it can be a lot for them.”
Prior to Friday's photograph of the couple in a parking lot, the two had not been seen together in over a month.

The two have had a busy couple of weeks, with Lopez being a co-chair at the Met Gala and Affleck supporting his friend Tom Brady at his Netflix roast earlier this month. Both have also been filming new projects with the singer in Kiss of the Spiderwoman and Affleck starring in The Accountant 2.
The rumors really have started to swirl as In Touch reported that the couple was “headed for a divorce.”
“The writing is on the wall – it’s over,” the insider told the publication. “They’re headed for a divorce – and for once, [Ben’s] not to blame!”
“He's focusing on his work and his kids now,” the insider adds. “Ben already moved out and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”
However, Lopez has “not been paying much attention to any outside hate.”
“Ben is 100 percent supportive of Jen and keeps it real with her,” the source said. “They both know this is part of the business and remind each other that you can't please everyone. They acknowledge what really matters, lift each other up, and encourage each other's talents and capabilities.”

The two previously dated in the early 2000s. In her documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, JLo reminisced about the heartbreaking cancellation of their wedding in 2003. The two later rekindled their relationship in 2021 and got married thee following year.
“Ben and I, we broke up three days before our wedding,” Lopez says in her documentary. “We had a big wedding planned — 14 ushers and bridesmaids, and three days before we just crumbled under the pressure.”
“When her and Ben first broke up, it was catastrophic to her constitution, everything that she wanted from what she understood love to be. For that to not work, for the pressures to break it apart, it just spun her out,” Dave Meyers, who directed “I'm Real,” said in the documentary.
“For all those years it was really hard, because I didn't just feel like I lost the love of my life, I felt like I lost the best friend that I ever had,” Lopez agrees. “And I couldn't talk for so many years, and that was the hardest part.”
