Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert now has 58 passing touchdowns which are second-most by a quarterback in their first two seasons. He is only behind Miami Dolphins legend Dan Marino who had 68 in his first two seasons.

Getting into the history books is always a great thing, but when you can get in with a guy like Dan Marino, it has to feel good for a young quarterback. Justin Herbert has been nothing short of sensational for the Chargers this season as he is the main reason why they have had the type of success that they have had. Not only does he have 27 touchdowns for the Chargers but he also has over 3,500 yards already and has a passing rating of 98.2. Dan Marino is arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time so joining him in the record books is nothing short of impressive for the Chargers 23-year-old star.

If the Chargers want to make a run for the playoffs, they are going to need Herbert to play the best football that he possibly can. He did so on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals as he threw for 317 yards and three touchdowns.

Los Angeles has a lot more work to do on the season if they want to win their conference. They're only a half a game behind the Kansas City Chiefs but the Chiefs do not look like they are going to lose any time soon.

The future of Justin Herbert is one of the brightest in the NFL and it's going to be exciting to watch.
