Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert had one of his best performances of the season thus far, as he helped the Chargers secure an impressive, 39-29 come-from-behind victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Herbert connected with wide receiver Keenan Allen on multiple occasions throughout the contest, and clearly, these two have a good thing going right now.

After the game, Allen was all praises for Herbert, who has emerged as one of the best rookies in the league at the moment:

“He's a young quarterback that can play in this league,” Allen said of Herbert, via Shelley Smith of ESPN. “And he's just going to get better, the more reps he gets and more things he can see in the actual game plan — can't do nothing but learn from [them].

“We tight, too.”

Clearly, their closeness off the field has translated to a great partnership on the pitch.

On Sunday, Herbert completed 27 out of his 43 passes against the Jaguars for 347 yards. The 22-year-old also logged three touchdowns, while also adding 65 yards and one touchdown on the ground. The former Oregon standout has been playing some inspired football all season long, which has allowed him to enter the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation.

Allen hasn't been too bad himself, with the three-time Pro-Bowler catching 10-of-13 targets against Jacksonville. As it appears, he's been able to put his back injury behind him.

The Chargers are finally back to winning ways, as they snapped their four-game losing streak on Sunday. Their next opponent comes in the form of the Denver Broncos, as Herbert and Co. look to make it back-to-back win
