Friendship knows no boundaries for Charles Barkley, as the controversial TNT analyst flew to Houston against doctor's orders to visit his friend and colleague, Craig Sager.
Barkley — still recovering from a month-old hip replacement surgery — took the chance to visit Sager, who is undergoing a third bone marrow transplant in his battle against Leukemia.
Sager's son (of the same name) took to Twitter and thanked Barkley for his disposition to being there for his father and keeping him company.
Have to thank Barkley for keeping my Dad company today in Houston as he finished his final prep work & for being there every step. ????

According to ESPN, Sager's wife had caught a cold and was told to stay home so she'd keep the virus away from her husband. When Barkley found out, he immediately took a flight to Houston to see his friend.

“We go to see Sager to cheer him up and by the time you leave you're like, ‘is anything wrong with him?' He has the most positive attitude… When you go to try and cheer him up his attitude is so upbeat he cheers you up.” —Charles Barkley
Sometimes, the most genuine testament of friendship comes in the hardest of times. Barkley has proved himself a great friend, putting his friend's care and well-being before his own.
Bravo, Sir Charles. Bravo.
