The Kansas City Chiefs season has been rocky, to say the least. They don't look like the same team we've seen go to back-to-back Super Bowls. Instead, they look pedestrian. Charles Woodson, legendary NFL safety, shared his thoughts on Patrick Mahomes and the franchise's 2021 season outlook on Sunday.

According to Dov Kleiman, Woodson “believes the Chiefs will miss the playoffs.” Based on how dominant this franchise has been the past several years, this might come as a shock to Kansas City fans.

For the rest of the league, this might not be that hot of a take. The Chiefs currently hold a 3-4 record and hope to get back to .500 on Monday Night Football with a win over the New York Giants. Normally, this would be viewed as an easy win for Kansas City, but it could be much closer than Patrick Mahomes would like.

We'll see how it plays out, as there is still time for the Chiefs to figure things out. Patrick Mahomes hasn't quite looked the same, but this team has been resilient in the past. Mahomes could turn things around at any moment and lead his team on a long winning streak.

Even so, Charles Woodson knows a thing or two about winning. His experience allows him to understand what could be going on in Kansas City's locker room. It'll be interesting to see if the Chiefs can right the ship.

The first step to getting back on track would be to defeat the Giants on Sunday Night Football. Getting back to a 4-4 record is necessary if Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs hope to get back into the playoff picture.
