Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes could get wideout Sammy Watkins back in Week 12 against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Watkins, who hasn't played since Week 5 due to a hamstring injury, was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, per Pro Football Talk. It's a really good sign that the explosive playmaker will play in Week 12 versus the Buccaneers.

Sammy Watkins has 21 receptions on the season for 222 yards and two touchdowns. It's not like Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs need more weapons on offense since they have a plethora of elite players, but Watkins' potential return to the lineup is a great turn of events for the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The Chiefs are 9-1 on the season after defeating the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11 on Sunday Night Football. Mahomes could win his second MVP Award in 2020, as the gunslinger is putting up stellar numbers for KC. He has thrown for 3,035 yards and 27 touchdowns. Mahomes only has two interceptions on the season, with both of them coming against the Raiders.

The Chiefs-Buccaneers game should be a fun contest since it pits Brady up against Mahomes. That matchup will certainly draw plenty of viewers since the two QBs are considered two of the best players in the NFL, even though Brady is coming off a subpar game in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams.
