Could anybody picture future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady wearing a uniform other than the New England Patriots? Super Bowl champion and MVP Patrick Mahomes is well aware of the rumors circulating that Brady could leave the Patriots in free agency this spring, with the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Chargers chief among teams discussed as potential destinations.

For Mahomes, 24, seeing Brady out of New England would be “hard to see,” per Jonathan Jones in CBS Sports.

“I have no idea, just like everyone else,” Mahomes said. “I haven’t been able to talk to him. He hit me up after the Super Bowl and congratulated me.

“It’s hard to see him not being in a New England Patriots jersey but you never know. I’ll just kind of see when everyone else does.”

The 42-year-old Brady, a six-time Super Bowl champion with the Patriots, will be a free agent for the first time in his storied, 20-year NFL career. He has spent his entire professional tenure alongside head coach Bill Belichick in New England, turning the AFC East franchise into a bona fide dynasty team.

According to Mahomes, though, who spoke with Brady after the 2018 NFL MVP won his first title, he hasn't gotten a hold of the “G.O.A.T.” and doesn't have an inkling on where Brady could go, should he decide to sign with another franchise.

Brady and Mahomes faced off in the 2018-19 AFC Championship Game the previous postseason, with the Patriots downing the Chiefs en route to their (and Brady's) sixth ring. Mahomes had to wait one more year to reach the pinnacle of the NFL with his first championship and Kansas City's first Super Bowl win in 50 years.
