Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has aspirations to be the best quarterback in the league but for the team being he is still chasing Tom Brady. As a whole, he has a long ways to go but he did tie Brady in one important stat last season.

According to Pro Football Focus Brady and Mahomes were tied for big-time throws on third and long with both guys completing nine passes in such situations.

Mahomes had a huge 2018 season finishing the year throwing for 5,097 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. His impressive year was enough to land a spot on the cover of Madden 20. Mahomes said he was excited that he was on the cover and that he also got a say on the gameplay.

β€œThe last year has been life-changing for me and landing the cover of Madden NFL 20 is both a huge honor and a dream come true as a lifelong Madden fan. To also get the opportunity to impact the experience in the new Face of the Franchise: QB1 by providing input on the gameplay is something I never expected,” Mahomes said in the press release announcing the game via USA Today.

β€œI played Madden with my dad when I was a kid, and this is definitely a full circle moment for me,” he said.

The Patriots and Chiefs will face off December 8th which is going to be must watch TV. There might not be many more Brady vs Mahomes matchups so it’s important for fans to watch while it’s still available.
