As the Kansas City Chiefs get set to embark on another season, they will be attempting to make their third straight Super Bowl appearance in 2021. Looking around their division in the AFC West, the Chargers are on the rise and appear to have a franchise quarterback in Justin Herbert. The Raiders are still stuck in their ways of being sneaky but still average and the Broncos are stuck still yearning for a franchise QB. That could all change with a trade for Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes would welcome the challenge.

The Chiefs superstar quarterback was at his ā€œ15 and Mahomies Aloha Classicā€ when he was asked about the potential of Aaron Rodgers in the AFC West. As expected, Mahomes didn't shy away.

Mahomes went on to say it would be awesome if Rodgers ended up in the division.

Luckily for Mahomes and the Chiefs, they have the Packers on their regular season schedule in 2021 as well. So regardless of how things pan out with Rodgers and Green Bay, there's a high likelihood NFL fans will see Mahomes vs. Rodgers in one way or another.

The stalemate between the league MVP, Rodgers, and Green Bay's front office has continued on with little traction heading in one way or another. Outside of the Packers continuing to say they won't trade Rodgers, nothing new has popped up. As the NFL starts to transition into more offseason programs and training camps, it will be interesting to see if Rodgers shows up or continues on with the grudge.

One things that is certain: Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will be right back in Super Bowl contention, regardless of who is or isn't in the AFC West.
