Frank Clark is currently embroiled in a contract dispute with the Seattle Seahawks, and with the NFL Draft looming this week, it would not be the least bit surprising if the Seahawks end up trading the star defensive lineman.

Clark is likely to have a long list of suitors, but one team in particular to watch out for may be the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.

It makes sense, as the Chiefs certainly need a replacement for fellow defensive end Dee Ford, whom they traded to the San Francisco 49ers earlier this offseason.

Breer notes that Kansas City has already talked about finding someone to fill the hole left by Ford, saying that the club feels Clark would be a better fit for the Chiefs' defense.

However, acquiring Clark certainly won't be easy, as the Seahawks are reportedly asking for both a first and a second-round draft pick in return. Let's also not forget is that it's not like Clark will just suddenly have some extra years added to his deal after being traded. He will still be on a $17.1 million franchise tag, so Kansas City would have to work out a long-term deal with him before risking losing him for nothing next offseason.

Clark is coming off of a terrific 2018 campaign in which he racked up 41 tackles, 13 sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles, and a couple of fumble recoveries.

For a Chiefs team that is in desperate need of some help on the defensive side of the ball, Clark would definitely be a good get.
