The Cleveland Browns are coming off their biggest win of the season. They defeated the division rival Baltimore Ravens, withstanding a late charge to hold on, 24-22. With the win, the Browns pulled within a game of the AFC North lead behind Baltimore. They also tied the Cincinnati Bengals at 7-6 in the division, with the Steelers only a half game back at 6-6-1. The Browns Week 15 opponent, the Las Vegas Raiders, pose an interesting challenge.

The Raiders are in a bit of a free fall, having lost five of their previous six games. The offense has fallen apart lately, with Derek Carr's crashing down to Earth after his hot start. Yet, the Raiders are still a talented team. Cleveland cannot take this game for granted.

Cleveland Browns Week 15 Predictions vs Las Vegas Raiders

4. Case Keenum plays competently, has successful outing

It was announced Wednesday that Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield tested positive for COVID-19. Unless he tests negative on two consecutive tests later in the week, he will miss Saturday's matchup vs the Las Vegas Raiders. Assuming that happens, Keenum is slated to get his second start of the season.

Keenum filled in for an injured Mayfield back in Week 7 vs the Denver Broncos. During that game, Keenum was not asked to do very much. He completed 21 of 33 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown. The Browns ran the ball well that game, with D'Ernest Johnson racking up 146 rushing yards.

We should see a similar scenario play out Saturday vs the Raiders. Las Vegas' defense has been pitiful of late, so even without some of the team's top weapons, I expect Keenum to fill in admirably and play efficient football.

3. Donovan Peoples-Jones leads the team in receiving again

With the news that former Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry tested positive for COVID-19 as well, the Browns are short handed at wide receiver.

Tight end Austin Hooper also tested positive and is in the league COVID protocols, leaving the entire receiving corps very thin. The team previously cut embattled super star Odell Beckham Jr.

That leaves Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashard Higgins as the team's top two receivers. Of the two, Peoples-Jones has shown at times this season that he can produce for the Browns. Last week he posted five catches for a team-high 90 yards. With the lack of depth on the team, out of sheer circumstance, Peoples-Jones seems to be the most likely candidate to have a solid day vs a poor defense.

2. Nick Chubb and D'Ernest Johnson combine for over 200 yards from scrimmage

With all of the players in COVID protocols for the Browns, it makes sense for Kevin Stefanski to lean heavily on the ground. The Raiders rank 26th in the NFL, allowing over 125 rushing yards per game. Meanwhile, the Browns are among the best rushing offenses in football.

Don't get me wrong, Cleveland will miss OG Wyatt Teller and OT Jedrick Wills. But this line is deep and even their back ups should still be able to open holes on the ground. Both Nick Chubb and D'Ernest Johnson are fully capable of running through holes.

With Case Keenum likely at quarterback, and Jarvis Landry and Austin Hooper set to miss the game, I would expect Chubb and Johnson to be busy in the passing game as well. Both players are dual threats out of the backfield.

There is nothing that suggests Cleveland will not force feed both Chubb and Johnson this weekend. Expect a big day from both Cleveland running backs.

1. Short-handed Cleveland pulls out the home win

The betting line in Las Vegas has continued to fly toward the Raiders as more and more Browns players have been added to the COVID list. When most zig, I like to zag. It should be a very close football game, but look for Cleveland to dominate the time of possession.

The goal should be to give Derek Carr and the Raiders offense as few a possessions as possible. Cleveland will need to be efficient on offense. But that is one thing that Case Keenum has shown he can be. The ground game will get going early, and the Browns will pull out a tight victory, essentially ending the Raiders hopes at a post season berth.

With the win, the Browns will pull one step closer to winning the AFC North crown. The division is so tightly contested, with a bunch of divisional games remaining. But even if the Browns don't end up winning the division, an AFC win would go a long way toward a wild card berth.
