Earlier this season, Los Angeles Clippers point guard Milos Teodosic noted that he was unhappy with his role in Los Angeles, hinting that he might return to Europe at some point. Despite this fact, Danilo Gallinari is hoping his teammate will stay on-board:

“Milos has been playing more minutes lately and he has played very well for us every time he has played,” Gallinari told EuroHoops in a recent conference call. “We can use him more and more, so I’m hopeful that he will stay with us. He’s a great guy and we have a very good relationship. So, hopefully, he can stay with us for the whole season.”

Teodosic, now 31 years old, expressed his desire to return to Europe during a November interview:

“I think I definitely won’t stay here because… I came, I saw how it looks and somehow… I enjoy more and it’s nicer for me to play in Europe. So, I will return to Europe for sure, will it be during this season or at the end, we’ll see.” Teodosic said in an interview with Glas Amerike.

Though he's a gifted player, Teodosic has all but fallen out of the Clippers' rotation. The Serbian-born ball-handler has made 15 appearances with the team this season (zero starts), racking up averages of 3.2 points on 42.5 percent shooting from the field (37.0 percent from beyond the arc), 2.1 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 10 minutes per outing.

Whether or not Teodosic will indeed make his way back to Europe this season remains to be seen. However, it's clear that at least Gallinari wants him to stay.

The Clippers will be back in action on Thursday night, when they'll welcome the Dallas Mavericks to town. Tip-off inside the Staples Center is set for 10:30 p.m. ET with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
