Los Angeles Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank says the only thing owner Steve Ballmer wants is “championships.”

For the first time in franchise history, the Clippers are title contenders with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on the roster. LAC signed Leonard in free agency and then acquired George from the Oklahoma City Thunder. Both superstars are from California.

Lawrence Frank says Steve Ballmer has “unbelievable humility” and is an easy guy to work for.

“Whether true or untrue, with wealthy people the perception is, ‘That guy, he probably has to be right about everything.' The thing about Steve, he has unbelievable humility,” Frank said, via Andrew Grief of the Los Angeles Times. “Which is such a rare trait when you have someone who’s achieved such success.”

Ballmer might not know everything about the nuances of constructing a roster, but he knows what he wants.

“Championships,” Frank said.

The Clippers won 48 games last season without having an All-Star on the team. Now, they have two of the best players in the world and a great supporting cast, headlined by Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, Montrezl Harrell, Landry Shamet and Ivica Zubac.

Ballmer is arguably the most passionate owner in all of sports. He's going to go extra crazy next season at Staples Center watching Leonard and George go to work.
