During the offseason, L.A. Clippers offseason addition Willie Reed was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife at his home located in Miami.

This has continued to hang over his head over the last few months since joining the Clippers. However, there appears to be some finality to the situation coming on Monday as his charges are expected to be eventually dropped, according to Ira Winderman of The Sun-Sentinel.

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise given that his wife, Jasmine Reed, had stated back in early August that she was going to drop the charges against her husband. At this moment, there is no clarity as to whether the NBA will step in to hand down any form of punishment for the 27-year-old due to his actions.

Willie Reed had inked a one-year, $1.6 million deal last month following a breakout year with the Miami Heat as the primary backup to Hassan Whiteside. This came shortly after he reportedly turned down a three-year, $15 million deal to remain with the Heat.

In this past preseason, Reed played in limited action where he averaged 5.2 points on 57.6 percent shooting from the field with 1.6 rebounds in 10.0 minutes per contest in five games played.
