Patrick Beverley couldn't wait to get to the new home of the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center and ruin the grand opening of the venue with a blowout win against their longtime rival. The Los Angeles Clippers defensive ace didn't stop with pestering Stephen Curry through screens and making the most of the Warriors' rookies' mistakes, but he also trolled some of the staffers who helped clean the Clippers' locker room.

Via Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports:

“Y’all a little different without KD, I see,” Beverley playfully jabbed. “Uh-huh, y’all cheated long enough. It’s OK. Y’all had a good run. Back to reality.”

Beverley has never been afraid to push buttons, whether it's on or off the court. However, his “cheating” joke feels a bit hypocritical, considering the Clippers acquired Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in one summer, going from bare-hanging playoff bids to potential frontrunners in the West.

Yet the All-Defensive playmaker is only one of many who have long waited for the Warriors' dynastic run to be over, able to do no more than patiently wait for the last five years to run their course and hoping the tables turn.

Beverley's teams were eliminated from playoff contention by Golden State twice in the past four years — first in 2015-16 with the Houston Rockets, and most recently last season after a six-game war in the first round as a member of the Clippers.

Nevertheless, the Clippers can now turn the tables and avenge the many losses they've had at the hands of the Warriors in the past five years, now that they've armed themselves to the teeth with superstar power and Kevin Durant is no longer around.
