The always opinionated Stephen A. Smith of ESPN believes Los Angeles Clippers small forward Paul George is in danger of becoming the second coming of Dwight Howard.

On Thursday's edition of ESPN's “First Take,” Smith talked about how George could possibly become a journeyman (if the Clippers trade him this offseason), similar to how Howard has become one ever since he requested a trade from the Orlando Magic.

Check out Smith's explanation in this clip:

Howard was a superstar with the Magic and led the team to the 2009 NBA Finals, where Orlando lost to Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. Since getting traded by the Magic in the summer of 2012, though, Howard has played for the Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards and Lakers again.

The former Defensive Player of the Year has seen his superstar status dwindle in the NBA following his departure from the Magic. Dwight Howard is now a role player on the Lakers, as he comes off the bench.

Paul George's performance in the bubble was a roller-coaster ride. He struggled at times in the first round before bouncing back, but all anyone is going to remember is his choke job in Game 7 against the Denver Nuggets.

Not only did George only score 10 points and not register a single point in the fourth quarter, but the former Indiana Pacers star hit the top of the backboard on one of his 3-point attempts from the corner.

The Clippers blew a 3-1 series lead to the Nuggets and now face a bevy of questions this offseason. While it would shock a lot of people in the league if the Clippers traded George, we can't rule out anything since LA's choke job was of epic proportions and they had title aspirations this season.
