Los Angeles Clippers small forward Paul George did 3-on-3 scrimmaging in Saturday's practice.

George is getting closer to taking full contact. He's recovering from surgery to his right rotator cuff and left labrum:

George is expected to make his Clippers debut in late November.

Last season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, George was an MVP finalist. He averaged 28.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 38.6 percent from beyond the arc and 83.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The Clippers acquired George from the Thunder in a blockbuster trade this offseason. LA sent OKC point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, veteran forward Danilo Gallinari and five first-round picks for George, who is a six-time All-Star and one of the best two-way players in the NBA.

For the first time in franchise history, the Clippers are legitimate title contenders with George and Kawhi Leonard in the mix. LA is 4-2 on the young season. Leonard has been carrying the load on offense, although Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell have been their usual productive selves off the bench.

Once George suits up, the Clippers are going to be a juggernaut on offense and defense. Teams around the league are not looking forward to LA having Leonard and George on the court at the same time.
