Los Angeles Clippers superstar Paul George might need to get his eye checked out after getting poked badly by Danny Green on Saturday. George successfully corralled a rebound against Green and the Philadelphia 76ers at Staples Center. The Sixers swingman, however, tried to take a swipe on the ball as the seven-time All-Star landed.

Not only did Green missed the ball completely, he was also called for a foul for inadvertently gouging George's right eye. OUCH.

Here's the painful play:

George was shaken up after the hit but stayed in the ball game. Eye pokes, of course, occur rarely in the NBA but is still one of the most painful accidents that could take place in a highly-physical match like this one. Green, of course, is known as a solid defender but is considered one of the nicest players today. That hit was purely coincidental and with no malice in Green's part.

PG13, on the other hand, needs to keep his vision at 20/20 to keep shooting at a high rate for the Clippers this season. Entering Saturday's game, the 30 year-old swingman has been knocking down 47.4 percent of his field goals and 43 percent of his 3-pointers, norming 22.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.1 steals in 35 games.
