Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George says guard Patrick Beverley has changed him for the better.

George says seeing Beverley smile and celebrate a win despite not putting up the most points on a given night has really inspired him:

“You would have thought Pat had 40 tonight the way he was grinning and smiling and just having fun with the game,” George said, via the Orange County Register. “That’s what it’s about. I tip my hat to Pat. It’s contagious when you’ve got a guy who plays to win and doesn’t care what his stats look like.

“It changed me. I just wanna go out there and hoop. I don’t care what happens, if I make shots, if I miss, as long as I’m impacting winning, and we come out with a win, that’s all that matters.”

Beverley is the heart and soul of the Clippers. He's averaging 8.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists on the season in 43 games.

The Clippers improved to 7-0 with a full roster following their 132-103 win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday. LA is 40-19 on the season after defeating the Nuggets. They are in third place in the Western Conference standings.

In his first season with the Clippers, George is averaging 21.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists. The six-time All-Star is shooting 42.5 percent from the field, 39.9 percent from beyond the arc and 89.4 percent from the free-throw line.
