With all the activity that has been going on in the NBA trade market of late, it feels like the Los Angeles Clippers are likewise on the brink of a headline-grabbing trade deal. As it turns out, this might come in the form of a potential swoop for Charlotte Hornets guard Terry Rozier.

This report comes via Chris Mannix of SI:

L.A. tinkered with its roster on draft night, flipping Landry Shamet as part of a package that brought back Luke Kennard, but the Clippers remain determined to add another guard, per league sources… L.A. has also explored a deal for Charlotte’s Terry Rozier, per league source.

The Luke Kennard addition seems like a good move for the Clippers, but as the report stated above, they are far from done. Rozier, who himself joined the Hornets last summer, might be on the move again. The 26-year-old might just find himself playing alongside Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in L.A. pretty soon.

The report also confirms that the Clippers are also high on Los Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo, who recently decided to opt out of his deal with the Lakers. The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly also interested in the two-time NBA champ, and should the Clippers fail acquire Rondo, Rozier could serve as a Plan B of sorts.

It is worth noting that Rozier is set to earn $18.9 million next term, and it remains to be seen if the Clippers will be willing to take on the 6-foot-1 point guard's substantial contract.
