Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris was ejected from Game 6 against the Dallas Mavericks after effectively karate chopping Mavs star Luka Doncic in the head.

Doncic and Morris got tangled up as the Mavs phenom drove to the basket late in the first quarter. Morris then chopped down on Doncic's head with his hand, which drew the ire of the 21-year-old. The officials reviewed the play and hit Morris with a Flagrant 2, resulting in the ejection.

Here's the play:

Marcus Morris came under fire earlier in the series for stepping on Doncic's injured left ankle from behind during Game 4. There was some speculation that the Clippers forward did it on purpose, but he adamantly denied it. Morris was also involved in a minor dustup with Doncic in Game 1, which ultimately resulted in Kristaps Porzingis getting ejected for intervening and picking up a second technical foul.

This latest incident isn't helping Morris' case, and all parties involved will certainly have something to say about it after the game. The Clippers are trying to close out the Mavs in their first-round series. LA went up 3-2 thanks to a dominant Game 5 performance.

Morris — who came over from the New York Knicks in a trade earlier this season — has been a key player for the Clippers in this series. Heading into Sunday's Game 6, he held series averages of 13.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting 50.6% from the field and 49.3% on 3-pointers. He had 9 points on 4-of-5 shooting in 11 first-quarter minutes before his ejection.

It will be interesting to see if the NBA doles out any further punishment to Marcus Morris, especially given the history.

Luka Doncic has led the way for the Mavs all series. He posted averages of 29.6 points, 10.0 rebounds and 8.6 assists over the first five games of the playoffs.
