Patrick Beverley has stated on multiple occasions that the Clippers, not the Lakers, are the better team in Los Angeles.

Well, he just walked the talk and helped the Clippers back it up.

The defensive-minded guard had 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists to help the Clips erase an eight-point first quarter deficit and take down the Lakers 113-105.

After the game, Beverley is obviously happy with how he proved himself right.

Beverley has never been fazed by the popularity of the Purple and Gold, as for him, everything is settled on the court. He immediately made his presence felt, frustrating LeBron James as early as the first quarter.

With the win, the Clippers improve to 37-29, six games above the Lakers and are seated comfortably in the seventh spot in the Western Conference playoff race.

Meanwhile, LeBron James' playoff quest is most likely over after this loss, as his Los Angeles team now falls to 30-34. They have 18 games left, but with the way they've been performing, it is unlikely that they will be able to win enough games to steal a postseason spot.

Three of the Lakers' next four games will be against some of the best teams in the league: the Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, and Denver Nuggets,

Beverley shoved it into the Lakers' throats once again. The Clippers, for the last six years, are indeed the better team in La-La-Land.
