Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck won't be seeing the practice field until at least training camp, with head coach Frank Reich announcing that Luck won't be participating in mandatory minicamp:

Luck suffered a calf injury a few weeks ago. While it was announced as not serious, the team is being very conservative with their approach in bringing him back.

Reich also said the team would come up with a throwing plan for Luck that he will participate in during the weeks leading up to training camp:

Reich said last week that if Luck didn't participate in any of the minicamp it would be okay, and he stressed that to the franchise quarterback:

“If this plays out that we don’t take a snap, it’s OK,” Reich said he told Luck, per the IndyStar. “It’s not earth-shattering, it’s not a big news story as far as what we’re doing as a team and what we’re doing offensively.”

When Luck first went down with the injury there was a concern with the injury history that he has dealt with, but if this was during the regular season, he would be playing:

“What I’ve learned, especially after going through what we did last year: Trust the people, and trust the process,” Reich said. “I trust Andrew, I trust the process of everybody we’ve got in the building working on it.”

With Luck missing practice, it's Jacoby Brissett who is getting the first-team reps.
